I believe you are aware everyone has the yearly ritual of writing New Year’s resolutions.

As experts found out, in December and January, there will be a huge number of people rushing and registering themselves to the gym as their new year’s resolutions. In the first few weeks of January, they will pack the gym to exercise every day. But the first week of February. The number of members who are visiting the gym for exercise dropped to less than half of the number of people visiting in January.
These phenomena happen in varied areas of life. We felt so tired of our life at the end of the year and made a promise that we would change starting from the 1st of January. Though the promise is made, most people only rely on their willpower. This is one reason why most people fail is because they don’t understand that willpower will deplete each time you are using your brain energy to think and experience emotional events.
On a good day, we will be able to stick with our diet plan, we eat right, and we can resist all the comfort food that is bad for our health.
But on the bad day when we have issues at our job, experience traffic jams, and other emotional events which make us angry and annoyed, we will find ourselves eating comfort food and drinking beer without us noticing it.
Can you relate to the above example?
The question then is why are we kept being in the pattern loop, and it seems that we can’t go out of it.
Habit patterns that we have now in our lives, such as career, relationships, health, spirituality, money, and family, is as a result of our past pains and pleasures.
When we have an unconscious projection, belief, or secondary gain in our habit pattern, it will be very difficult for us to break free from it when we are just relying on our willpower or logical thinking.
If someone wanted to stop smoking, but subconsciously smoking reminds him of the great happy time with his loved one. It will be very hard for him to stop smoking if he is not even aware that there are subconscious needs that make him attached to smoking. He will always self-sabotage himself from stopping smoking because when your subconscious is not aligned with your conscious, your subconscious mind will always win.
Our approach is by releasing the past baggage, reviewing each area of the goal, and realigning the subconscious and conscious mind to prevent self-sabotage or secondary gain from the unfavorable negative pattern to create a lasting transformation.
